The Tandym Group is Hiring a Fund Accountant Near Greenwich, CT

An investment firm in Connecticut is actively seeking a self-motivated and hardworking to join their staff as their new Fund Accountant. In this role, the Fund Accountant will be responsible for managing the accounting, valuation, reporting, and internal control matters for a portfolio of diverse assets.
Responsibilities
The Fund Accountant will:
  • Coordinate the month-end close process and review monthly NAV
  • Review complex investor allocations / PE style waterfalls
  • Prepare and analyze various reports for management, investors, and regulators
  • Oversee external administrator
  • Oversee the audit and financial statement process and liaise with auditors
  • Evaluate and perform various internal control functions
  • Complete various special projects as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-4 years’ experience at a public accounting firm in their financial services business, or direct experience at an asset management firm or fund administrator
  • Excellent Excel skills; technically savvy
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and committed to process and related improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
